GSGC Member Area Updated

Five sections of the Member area of GSGC's website have been updated to reflect recently submitted information.

The five sections are:
  • Members' Surname Research
  • Members' Organization Memberships
  • Members' Cities and States
  • Members' Nationalities
  • Members' Genealogy Software/Paid Subscriptions
Information in each of these sections is intended to assist GSGC members further their genealogical research efforts and assist other club members, assist in developing topics for discussion at monthly GSGC meetings and identify the need for GSGC special interest groups.

NOTE
:

GSGC members are reminded that information that they previously submitted for these sections will continue to be included until amended by the GSGC club member. Specific instructions should be provided for removal of any information no longer applicable.

Webinar: “Introduction to the 1940 Federal Census”

Friends of the National Archives Southeast Region, Inc. will sponsor a live webinar on January 9, 2012: Introduction to the 1940 Federal Census. The one hour webinar will begin at 7 p.m. EST and will be presented by archivist and genealogist, Constance Potter.

Local Family History Center Revises Hours

The Family History Center (FHC) located at 48th Ave N & Hwy US 17 Bypass, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina has revised its Saturday hours to what they were previously.

Normal Hours for the FHC are:
  • Wednesday: 6 p.m. - 9 p.m.
  • Saturday: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Persons wishing to visit the FHC during off-hours can call 843/449-1166.
