The Horry County Archives Center (HCAC) at Coastal Carolina University (CCU) is launching a new series of one hour meetings which will discuss topics of interest to those interested in researching local history. History Talk will begin with Margaret Fain, Librarian and Director of Core Curriculum at CCU, speaking on locating and accessing primary source newspapers, dating from the 1700s and 1800s, from home or through CCU’s Kimbel Library.
The initial meeting will be held today (Tuesday, March 25th) from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Horry County Archives Center located in room 220 of Kimbel Library on the campus of Coastal Carolina University.
The session is free but seating is limited. To register - please notify Ben Burroughs, Director, HCAC, at ben@coastal.edu or call 843-349-4056 and let him know if you plan on attending.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their own laptop computers or other devices.
