In a surprise announcement made on Wednesday during
his "Georgia Archives Month" proclamation, Governor Nathan Deal announced that the
Georgia State Archives Building, located in Morrow, GA, would not close to the public on November 1st as had been previously announced. While the announcement was welcome news, there was no mention as to exactly how the budgetary problem would be resolved.
